 About your surgeon Dr Thushan Beneragama (MBBS, MS) is a qualified consultant plastic and cosmetic surgeon. He had his secondary education at Royal College, Colombo and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Colombo. He completed his training in plastic and reconstructive surgery in Sri Lanka in 2003 and then left for Australia, where he worked as a Fellow in hand surgery at The Royal Adelaide Hospital, South Australia and Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. He also worked as a senior registrar in plastic surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide, South Australia. Dr. Thushan Beneragama is a member of many local and international professional societies including College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka, Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and International Society for Burn Injuries. He is a surgeon who attends many local and international seminars to upgrade his knowledge on new development and techniques in plastic surgery and has delivered guest lectures at many local scientific meetings. He currently works at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, Colombo. He also works in private hospitals in the country including Apollo Hospital, Nawaloka Hospital, and Durdan’s Hospital Colombo. |
